1973 April 13Sri. V.V. Giri, President of India, laid the foundation stone for Amala Cancer Hospital
1976 August 16CMI Congregration headed by Fr. Gabriel took the trusteeship of Kerala Cancer Society for building the hospital
1981 October 16Sri. B. Sankaranand (Honourable Central Minister for Health) laid the foundation stone for Amala Ayurveda Hospital
1982Govt. of India sanctioned a grant-in-aid research unit under CCRAS for Cancer & allied diseases
1983 March 19Sri. K. Karunakaran, Chief Minister of Kerala, inaugurated Amala Ayurvedic Hospital
1984Developed a Herbal Garden with around 500 species of medicinal plants
1987Started an in-house medicinal preparation unit
1988Foundation stone laid for Ayurveda Bhavan
1989Inaugurated Ayurveda Bhavan
1990Additional floor constructed for main hospital
1992Started research on AIDS
1994Ayurvedic Research Centre started in Germany for 1 year
2004A Herbarium was started in Ayurveda Hospital under the name of Fr.Gabriel, Founder - Director of Amala
2005 August 29ISO 9001:2000 Certification
2005 September 8GMP Certification
2007Foundation stone laid for Silver Jubilee Memorial Building
2008Department of Science & Technology has sanctioned the project named as "Cultivation of Medicinal Plants" in Ayurveda hospital
2008 November 11Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, released Silver Jubilee Souvenir of Amala Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre
2009 ISO Certification renewed as 9001:2008
2009 February 2Olive Leaf accreditation by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala
2009 June 29Blessing of Silver Jubilee Building
2009 November 2Started Govt. Certified Ayurveda Paramedical Courses
2011 May 18Green Leaf accreditation by the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala
2012 May 21NABH Accreditation by the Quality Council of India. Amala is now the Fourth NABH Accredited Ayush Hospital in India.
