Eye - The sense organ of Vision is the greatest boon to human. With the passage of time, eyes are subject to more stress and strain. The most common of these are exposure to pollution which leads to accumulation of dirt and dust, lifestyle changes leading to increased stress, reduced sleep, unhealthy eating habits, exposure to allergens, chemicals directly to the eyes and development of technology which increases the use of gadgets, computers, mobiles and laptops. All these are leading causes for the increase in the report of eye diseases.

Ayurveda has given great importance to eye care. It has laid down measures which should be adopted daily to prevent the occurrence of eye diseases. Simple techniques like washing the eyes with water, eye exercises, application of eye drops, etc. are all recommended for its care.
